Proverbs 12:15 (NASB95)

15 The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, But a wise man is he who listens to counsel.

Wise people are looking to learn and improve, foolish people are looking for ease. They don’t want to be bothered or corrected, they are too prideful to admit they were wrong about something and they are unwilling to seek wise counsel. That all comes from an insecurity. Wise people are looking for people who care enough about them to tell them the truth and help them improve, because we all need to learn and improve. A good friend will improve and sharpen you. They will challenge your crazy! And we all know we are a little crazy, right?

Proverbs 27:17 (NASB95)

17 Iron sharpens iron, So one man sharpens another.

Proverbs 15:2 (NASB95)

2 The tongue of the wise makes knowledge acceptable, But the mouth of fools spouts folly. A fool argues, a fool blames everybody else, a fool gets defensive.

Lets be wise and not foolish. Let’s all be open to corrections and improvement for the glory of God and the furthering of the Kingdom and the exaltation of Jesus.
