My dog Moxie, usually a fearless Jack Russell Terrier, is terrified of storms. It started out as being afraid of fireworks that were booming around the house. Then it progressed to thunderstorms and rain. Now even wet streets give her anxiety. No amount of reasoning can dissuade her from her fear. She is perfectly safe, I am going to do everything in my power to keep her safe. She doesn’t believe me.

How often we reject Gods promises and comforting because we have already made up our mind to be anxious. Past events echo through our minds and keep us captive to an ever increasing fear that claims more and more territory in our lives. We must with the help the Lord gives;

2 Corinthians 10:5 (NASB95)  5 We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ,

Luke 12:32 (NASB95)  32 “Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has chosen gladly to give you the kingdom.

If she would only believe me and trust me in this everything would be better.

If only I would trust God and believe Him, everything would be better.

Love you, Pastor Randy
