Why don’t you grow up?
We all want to be better at prayer. So for the next four weeks my “From the Heart” segments will be about different biblical prayers to pray. Carry each one with you and memorize it.
This prayer is for your spiritual growth and development. No one wants to remain a spiritual baby. Here it is: Paul is praying for the Ephesians to understand:
Ephesians 1:17–19 (NASB95) (I pray) that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him. 18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, 19 and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe.
Memorize and pray this prayer this week, asking the Lord to give you revelation and insight into the hope of His calling, your inheritance in Christ as a saint and the power directed toward us through Christ.
