Care each other
I was just working on a minor project today and was struck again with how everything is harder than you expect it to be, takes longer than you expected it to and also cost more than you planned. The multiple trips to Home Depot and Lowe’s, yes both, because one store will not have all the pieces you need. And even though they said it was in stock on-line on aisle 15 and is in bay 22, somehow, it’s not there. Then on to the joys of self checkout, I didn’t even know I worked there! I guess that is why we all like to shop on Amazon; we like the salesperson.
But really these are tiny, almost microscopic problems in the scheme of things. I am surrounded by people with real problems and real life or death struggles.
Galatians 6:2 (NASB95) Bear one another’s burdens, and thereby fulfill the law of Christ.
The word used for “bear” means to pick up or carry each other’s burdens. And if we do that we fulfill the law of Christ, which is to love your neighbor as yourself, but even better than that, to love one another the way Christ loves us. A bit more of a challenge I would say.
So make it your goal today to find someone and show them the love of Christ. That amazing grace filled, mercy driven love that we have each so freely received.
Love you, Pastor Randy
