Get Grounded at LCC

Welcome

First of all, we desire Life Community Church to be a place where Jesus Christ is always our number one priority --both in the life of our church and in the life of our members. We want people to come to LCC and feel accepted as they are, where they are, and not feel the need to act as if they have it all together--because none of us do. We want LCC to be a place to find God, follow Christ and to be challenged in your walk. We want it to be a place to find lasting friendships, to learn how to apply biblical applications to your everyday life and a place to grow a good foundation in Christ Jesus, not LCC, a church or a pastor. We want you to have a personal relationship with the one true savior and to find complete fulfillment in Him. We want LCC to be a place where you can be real.  The best way to see what our church is really like is to visit!  So, we hope you will and when you do you will find what you are looking for.

Thank you so much for taking your time out of your busy day to check out our website. We hope to see you this Sunday.

Randy Huett, Pastor

Frequently Asked Questions

Where and what time is your service?

We currently have worship services on Sunday mornings at 9.30am and 11am. Wednesday nights we have Student Life service for 7th-12th grade youth at 7:00pm.  Generation Next is for infants through kindergarten on Sunday mornings during both services and  Kid’s Church is for children in the 1st-6th grade on Sunday mornings at both services. We also have over ten LifeGroups that meet areas across the region throughout the week. We are located right off of the westbound side of Highway 80 in Sunnyvale, Texas.  For directions and a map, please click below.

Is there a difference between the 9.30 & 11 am service?

No, they are two identical contemporary services.  Choose the time the best fits your schedule, because it's the same great service, twice!  The same goes for the children's ministry services.

What should I wear?

At Life Community Church we aren't so worried about what you wear, we are just happy to see you there. So feel free to wear what is comfortable to you, whether that means wearing slacks and a button up or a comfy pair of jean and tennis shoes. You'll see all styles of dress represented on any given Sunday.

What are your typical Sunday morning services like?

We consider our services to be casual and relaxed. Our services last one hour and we try really hard to stick to that schedule.  The beginning of the service is a time of worship with songs played by one of our three different worship teams, which usually last about 15-20 minutes. Each team is unique with its own leader and style.  Although, all three would be considered contemporary.  The second half of the service usually starts out with prayer before the sermon. Randy Huett, the lead pastor, is an engaging, funny and interactive speaker that pushes you to find and follow Christ and not follow a church or a pastor.

Be sure to get there a little before the service and join us for free coffee, donuts, pastries, bagels and bottled waters.  We would love for you to be our guest this Sunday.

Do you have a mid-week service?
Our full corporate gatherings happen on Sundays, but during the week our church body meets in smaller groups across the city that we call LifeGroups.

How can I find and join a LifeGroup in my area?
We have community groups spread throughout the city that meet in various locations during the week. Find one in your area here.
What denomination is your church?

Life Community Church is non-denominational church with a connection to a fellowship of churches called Summit Ministries International  out of Lubbock, Texas. We want to be a church that seeks after the heart of God and pleases Christ in our actions and choices as a body of Christ. Click here for more information.

What do I do with my children during the Sunday morning service?

Parents can check their children (infants-sixth grade) in at the Kid's Check-In kiosk located in the foyer approximately 15 minutes before each service.  You simply fill out an information card for your entire family and you will be given a pick-up ticket for all of your children.  From there a volunteer will assist you in directing where each of your children go.

If you are more comfortable with keeping your children with you for the entire service you are welcomed to do so. Click here for more information on Kid's Church and here for more information on generationNEXT.

Junior High and High School students stay during the entire service.

How long has your church been around?

Life Community Church started in 1979 by two Christ for the Nations Students. Originally called the Love Club, they met across the street from Love Field in Dallas. In 1981, Randy and Tina Huett came to the DFW area from Louisiana and began pastoring the church, which is now Life Community Church. They have been with us for over twenty-five years! Click here for more information.

How can I join LCC?

We think being fully informed about a church and their beliefs is really important to know before you join.  So, we offer classes called Discover Life that we hold throughout the year on Sunday mornings.  You attend three session on three Sunday mornings at 9.30am. By participating, you will get informed and learn about Life Community Church, what we believe and why.  At the conclusion of the classes, you can choose to become a member of Life Community Church. Click here for more information.

Do you support missions?

We have certain missionaries and charities that we support each month.  But once a quarter, usually on the fifth Sunday of the month, we do what we call Project Life.  Project Life changes each year with the proceeds going to different charities and events with each Project Life.  You read more about it here.
